Alien Rides K6 Max Quick Start Guide

Thank you for purchasing the Extreme Wheel K6! Most units are unlocked during our quality control checks before shipping. To get started, simply:

  1. Plug in the yellow XT90 battery connector (located on the right side of the unit, below the seat in the middle front).
  2. Press the power button (center button on the left handlebar).
  3. Go ride!

Ride Modes

Your K6 offers two distinct riding modes to suit your preferences:

Mode 1

  • Speed Cap: Limited to ~50km/h.
  • Throttle Behavior: Targets a specific speed for a scooter-like experience.
  • Auto-Braking:
    • Engage by pressing the center button with the throttle disengaged.
    • Adjust braking strength (1 = weakest, 6 = strongest) using the arrow keys.
    • Exit auto-braking mode by pressing the center button again.

Mode 2

  • No Speed Cap: Free-spins to ~100km/h.
  • Throttle Behavior: Adjusts power output like a gas pedal, offering a more dynamic ride.
  • Note: Auto-braking is unavailable in Mode 2.

Switching Modes

  • Double-tap the center button to toggle between Mode 1 and Mode 2.


Unlocking the K6

If your K6 is locked upon arrival, follow these steps to unlock it:

  1. Download the Begode App:

  2. Turn on the K6:

    • Press the center button on the left handlebar.
  3. Connect to the K6:

    • Open the Begode app, press Search, and connect to your K6.
  4. Unlock the K6:

    • Press and hold the right arrow button on the K6.
    • While holding it, rapidly tap the horn button in the app 4 times.
    • A long beep will indicate the unit is unlocked.
  5. Save the Settings:

    • Cycle the power off and back on.

Important Notice About Firmware Updates

Firmware updates can introduce risks and potentially render your K6 non-functional (“bricking”). While we aim to provide excellent support, it’s crucial to understand the following:

Firmware Update Policy

  1. Do Not Update Firmware unless explicitly instructed by our team.
  2. Firmware updates are rare, typically unnecessary, and carry significant risks.
  3. Unauthorized Updates: If you proceed without our guidance, any issues that arise will not be covered under our warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Firmware-related problems caused by unauthorized updates are not covered under Alien Rides' warranty.
  • Any repair costs due to user-bricked firmware will be the customer's responsibility.

Manufacturer Support

  • Begode, the manufacturer, may offer warranty coverage for firmware-related issues.
  • Contact Begode Software Services via WhatsApp at +86 138 1209 3629 for assistance.
  • Be prepared for a time-consuming process involving warranty authorization, part shipment, and installation.

iOS Compatibility Advisory

  • iOS devices have a high failure rate during firmware updates compared to Android (10-to-1 ratio).
  • This is due to compatibility issues between the app and hardware.
  • Begode and Extreme Bull have introduced a new Bluetooth chip to improve compatibility, but Android devices remain more reliable for updates.

Recommendation: Avoid firmware updates unless explicitly directed by our team. This will save you potential downtime, repair costs, and unnecessary frustration. If in doubt, contact us first!
