Battery Warranty Policy
Important: Opening any lithium-ion battery pack in your PEV will void the warranty and may result in harm or property damage.
For battery-related claims, the entire battery must be shipped back to us securely via UPS Ground. Our certified specialists will conduct tests and, if needed, replace the Battery Management System (BMS). We do not sell replacement BMS units or battery cells directly due to liability concerns.
Repair and Diagnostic Services
Alien Rides offers remote diagnostics and guidance once parts are received. We can approve local repair quotes in advance. If you prefer not to use video guidance, we will repair your PEV at our warehouse free of charge. Domestic customers are responsible for one-way shipping; we cover return shipping.
For customers outside the continental US, international shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. International customers also do not qualify for free shipping on new PEVs. We provide shipping quotes via DHL Air Goods DG (Dangerous Goods), the only legal method for shipping lithium-ion batteries.
Warranty Requests
All warranty requests must be in writing via email or chat, with a timestamp within the warranty terms.
When shipping a vehicle for warranty service, any 3rd-party accessories impeding service will be billed at $200/hr for removal. Rusted bolts, bent parts, or damaged add-ons also incur this rate. Parts may occasionally run out, but we will order these from the manufacturer.
Our warranty is transferable one time. The original owner must notify us of the transfer, and we must register the new owner. Warranty claims will not proceed until the transfer is completed.
Aftermarket Pads/ Non OEM Parts must be removed prior to dropping or shipping in for warranty. This is due to the significant time we have to spend removing and re-installing items. If your vehicle is shipped in, and aftermarket items are in the way we will bill to remove and re-install. If there are screws that are stripped or damaged due to prior customer removal, we will bill for the time spent to remove stripped screws.

Batteries Left at Low Voltages
When a battery is ridden down to 0% and left in that state, it can cause serious issues that may void the warranty. The Battery Management System (BMS) is designed to protect the battery by cutting off charging when voltage drops too low. For example, if you end a ride with only 5% battery and leave the vehicle unused for months, natural self-discharge (about 1% per month) could lower the battery voltage to a critical level. If the voltage drops too much, the BMS may prevent charging altogether, and while your charger may display a green light (normally indicating a full charge), the pack is actually under 0%.
It’s important to monitor your battery carefully. If you notice any warning signs—such as beeping, sirens, or charging issues—you must act quickly. For most batteries, you have 15 days to send the unit in for evaluation and potential repair before the warranty is voided. For Begode batteries, the situation is more urgent: their loud internal buzzer can rapidly drain a battery from 2% to critical levels in under a week. Once the battery falls below a certain voltage threshold, it becomes unsafe to recharge or bypass the BMS.
If your Begode battery starts beeping, it’s crucial that you arrange for shipping within 48 hours. Waiting too long can cause irreversible damage to the battery cells, making it impossible to safely charge. In such cases, the battery will likely need to be replaced entirely. Contact us immediately to expedite the shipping process and prevent further issues before your battery reaches a critical low-discharge state.
Maintenance and Noise Disclaimer
PEVs require regular maintenance of brakes, tires, steering, motors, suspension, and more. We inspect all critical components before shipment, but it is essential to periodically check and maintain these parts, especially after extended use. It is the owners responsibility to make sure all bolts remain tight.
Squeaking and Noise Disclaimer:
Squeaks and noises from suspension, brakes, or other components are normal and not covered under warranty. These sounds are common in PEVs and reflect the balance between performance and affordability.
To reduce noise, we recommend applying lithium or Teflon spray to suspension components. For brake squeaks, clean or replace the brake pads. If using old pads, use a blow torch to burn off contaminants, or replace them for a quicker solution.
